    De Croda da Lago Refuge ligt aan de oevers van het Federa-meer. Het werd in 1901 gebouwd onder de naam "Barbaria Hütte", omdat het gewild was door de berggids Giovanni Barbaria "Zuchin". Pas na de Eerste Wereldoorlog werd het "Rifugio Croda da Lago".

    Rifugio Croda da Lago is een ouderwets toevluchtsoord dat met veel zorg en enthousiasme door de familie Alverà wordt gerund. Het biedt traditionele Italiaanse gerechten en u kunt na een lange dag wandelen heerlijk ontspannen in de sauna naast het huis. Lago Fedèra is een prachtig meertje, loop er zeker omheen (ongeveer 1 km) en geniet van het uitzicht op Croda da Lago, Becco di Mezzodi, de wolken en de rifugio zelf weerspiegeld door het meer.

    Het Federameer is een van de mooiste bergmeren in de Dolomieten, omringd door de gastvrije aanwezigheid van het toevluchtsoord Croda da Lago. Op windstille dagen kunt u het prachtige uitzicht op de structuur bewonderen dat perfect weerspiegeld wordt in het meer. Het is de moeite waard om een stop te maken bij de hut of om tijd door te brengen aan het meer.

    Er is een pad waarmee je gemakkelijk rond het meer kunt rennen om ten volle van het uitzicht te genieten en diep adem te halen op deze betoverende plek.
