    Althausen is een district van Münnerstadt in het Nederfrankische district Bad Kissingen, Beieren.

    Het kerkdorp ligt drie kilometer ten oosten van Münnerstadt an der Lauer.

    Rijkswegen 2281 en 2282 ontmoeten elkaar aan de rand. St 2281 leidt zuidwaarts naar Poppenlauer. De St 2282 leidt westwaarts naar Münnerstadt en oostwaarts naar Brno.

    De rijksweg 71 loopt ook ten westen van Althausen in noord-zuid richting.

    Het district werd voor het eerst genoemd in 803 met de naam Atihuson. Archeologische vondsten uit de Hallstatt-periode getuigen echter van een veel eerdere nederzetting. In de middeleeuwen moet er in het dorp een kasteel (Althausen Castle) hebben gestaan. Althausen werd tijdens de Dertigjarige Oorlog verwoest door de Zweden.

    De kerk van St. Cyriacus werd rond 1750 gebouwd. Een schoolgebouw volgde in 1839.

    Op 1 januari 1972 werd Althausen opgenomen in Münnerstadt als onderdeel van de regionale hervormingen in Beieren.
