    Het hoefijzervormige, drie verdiepingen tellende kasteelcomplex in Dietlas in het Feldatal was ooit een middeleeuwse waterburcht.

    Hier werd al in 1376 een kasteel gedocumenteerd, aanvankelijk bekend als prieel en vanaf 1416 als paleis. Dit waterburcht werd in 1626 overgedragen aan de Heren van Buttlar. Ze leken het kasteel ook de naam "Feldeck" te hebben gegeven. De buitenmuren van de gebouwen dateren grotendeels uit de Middeleeuwen. De toren en kantelen werden echter tussen 1950 en 1952 afgebroken toen het werd omgebouwd tot een kindersanatorium.
    Tegenwoordig is het kasteel in privébezit en kan het niet bezocht worden.
