Leuke kleine haven.

What is the historical significance of the Meldorfer Hafen Sluice Gate?

The current Meldorfer Hafen Sluice Gate is a modern storm surge barrier, completed as part of the Speicherkoog development in 1979. This project was crucial for coastal protection and nature conservation, significantly shortening dike lengths and increasing their height.
