In 1985 ontdekte een Duitse maatschappelijk werker van de TU Berlijn het dorp. Hij verhuisde met een groep jongeren naar hier, woonde gratis en renoveerde het dorp. Een van de eersten die daar aankomt, maar ook de laatste die vertrekt.
