    Direct voor de kerk staat de Königsstein, die in 1977 werd opgericht en de namen draagt van de Noorse koning Olav V, de Finse president Kekkonen en de Zweedse koning Carl Gustav. Deze staatshoofden bezochten Vadsø in verband met de onthulling van het immigrantenmonument op 18 juni 1977.
    In 1992 werd een nieuwe Königsstein opgericht om het bezoek van Olav V in augustus 1992 te herdenken.
