    Verscholen onder de torenhoge rode wanden van Uluṟu ligt de Mutitjulu-waterpoel, een van de weinige permanente waterbronnen in het gebied en een plek van grote culturele betekenis voor het Aṉangu-volk. De waterpoel bevindt zich onder een grot waar nog steeds oude rotstekeningen te zien zijn, en informatieborden langs het pad vertellen het verhaal van Kuniya Tjukurpa dat met deze plek verbonden is. Een korte omweg vanaf de Uluṟu Base Walk leidt naar een uitkijkplatform met uitzicht op de waterpoel, waardoor het een van de meest betekenisvolle en gedenkwaardige stops rond de voet van de rots is.

    Ongelofelijk hoe de natuur werkt om te overleven. Zelfs in het midden van een woestijn waar je alleen maar een grote rode rots ziet en op de een of andere manier water wordt opgevangen en in een kleine vijver gehouden zodat de dieren kunnen overleven 🏜 💙 🏞 loop rond de rots en verken de onverwachte verscheidenheid aan kleuren, texturen en planten! Niet lang maar zweterig zeker 😉
