    San Carlo a Negrentino is een Romaanse kerk in de gemeente Acquarossa. Het werd gebouwd in de 11e eeuw en gewijd aan Sant'Ambrogio en vervolgens aan San Carlo Borromeo. Vanaf hier heb je een prachtig uitzicht op de Blenio-vallei, ook wel de vallei van de zon genoemd.

    De kleine kerk van Negrentino, oorspronkelijk gewijd aan St. Ambrosius (tegenwoordig San Carlo), is een van de belangrijkste in Ticino. De betoverende ligging, de romaanse architectuur en de rijke decoratieve schilderingen maken het uniek. Midden tussen weilanden, 850 m boven zeeniveau, vrijstaand op een helling met uitzicht op een weids panorama. De charme van dit bewijs van de Romaanse Ticino en Lombardije is door de jaren heen intact gebleven.Een bezoek aan Negrentino is ook een kans om dichter bij de Blenio-vallei te komen, ook wel bekend als de "Zonnevallei".
