    In 1899 werd op de Farrenkopf de Hasemannhut gebouwd. Voor het huis met twee verdiepingen vindt u tafels en banken om uit te rusten terwijl u kunt genieten van het geweldige uitzicht op de vallei. De hut op 780 meter hoogte is vernoemd naar de schilder Wilhelm Hasemann, oprichter van de Gutach-schilderskolonie.

    Bij de hut wijst een bord de weg naar een waterput. De weg ernaartoe leidt je echter weer een flink stuk het dal in.

    Na de zeer steile klim naar de Farrenkopf (789 meter) kun je hier bij de Haseman-hut uitrusten en je blik het dal in laten dwalen.

    De banken voor de hut bieden nog een gelegenheid om even uit te rusten voor de steile afdaling naar Hausach.
    De hut zelf werd voor het eerst gebouwd in 1899 en is sindsdien herbouwd en verschillende restauraties achter de rug.

    Elk jaar op 1 januari wordt hier de nieuwjaarsschok gevierd door de Zwarte Woudvereniging Gutach.
