    De Höhenburg ligt op een heuvel van de Hoher Fläming aan de zuidwestelijke rand van de districtsstad Bad Belzig in de wijk Potsdam-Mittelmark in Brandenburg. De heuvel waarop het kasteel staat heet Bricciusberg. Ongeveer 50 meter ten zuidwesten van het kasteel ligt de kleine St. Bricciuskerk en een uitgestrekt bos.

    Burg Eisenhardt, dat meer dan duizend jaar oud is en het begin van de kasteelwandeling markeert, torent hoog boven Bad Belzig uit. Het goed bewaard gebleven vestingcomplex herbergt nu onder meer een boerderijwinkel met café en een hotel. Wanneer u het kasteel bezoekt, bereikt u ook de 28 meter hoge donjon, vanwaar u kunt genieten van een fenomenaal uitzicht over Bad Belzig en het omliggende landschap.
