Uitstroom van 'Garibaldi Lake' vindt alleen plaats door insijpeling in scheuren in de lavadam ('The Barrier'), waarbij 'Rubble Creek' oprijst uit bronnen aan de voet van 'The Barrier'. Tijdens het smelten van de lentesneeuw vindt afvoer plaats in een oppervlaktewaterlichaam. De afwatering vindt plaats via het 'Lesser Garibaldi Lake' en het 'Barrier Lake' over een lengte van ca. 1,6 km.
