Getting out of Istanbul was as bad as getting in. The D100 is my least favourite road in the world (so far)
First ride of the new setup, overall it's great but the wider bars make close overtakes even scarier

Riding the infamous D100. Basically a motorway that bikes are allowed on and one of the only ways into Istanbul. I see why most tourers get the ferry straight to Izmir.
This also marks the end of the working Mon-Fri and riding Sat-Sun stint of this trip. I'll spend a few weeks here with friends while

Met a cute little pup in a village and it ran alongside me for a kilometer or two. Then we got surrounded by a pack of 5 big vicious dogs. I naively thought they were just trying to intimidate us so we slowly moved away and I'd stop if they got too close which normally makes them back off. This time

Had a dual carriage way all to myself, accidentally took part in a demonstration about the Tempi train crash (the deadliest rail disaster in Greek history), and witnessed the continuing struggles of the Greek economy because even the clothing models cant afford clothes

Eventually I will learn that going around the mountain is quicker than going over it. Had to hike through snow for 45mins for this one. Who knew Greece had snow 🤷
