Fourth and final day of the tour around Hardangerjøkulen. There are only just under 20 kilometers left on the plan today and I'll stick to it. After all, my car is waiting for me at the end of the trail.

Third day on the tour around Hardangerjøkulen. It's supposed to be 26 kilometers today, making it the longest stage of the tour. In terms of altitude, it doesn't look too bad. In the end, however, I won't be pitching my tent at the planned finish and will add a few more kilometers

The hike starts at the Rembesdalsseter hut. The clothes have dried well overnight over the stove, only the shoes are still a little damp. But that will probably get worse rather than better during the day anyway.

Day three in Trollheimen. It rained again during the night and even now the air is still damp and heavy.

I start late, the paths resemble small streams. In some places there are planks on which you can balance over the boggy ground. Unfortunately, I miss my footing and sink into

Day two starts with rain. I try to pack everything under the shelter of the flysheet and carefully unhook the inner tent to keep it as dry as possible. I prepare breakfast in a small shelter right next to the guest house. Maybe it will stop raining?

Day 1: I set off from a hiking parking lot very close to Gjevilvasshytta. I should actually buy an electronic parking ticket, but the necessary Norwegian app can only be linked to a Norwegian account. So I set off with a slightly queasy feeling, without having paid.

Today I have

Short tour from the Hahntennjoch car park to the Anhalter Hütte. The paths are easy to walk on and not too steep. At no point is the path really exposed.

It goes up to the summit cross and then about 200 meters down to the hut.

Very nice hosts and good food are waiting there. We were there at lunchtime

Last day on my rim-to-rim hike from the north to the south rim of the Grand Canyon. I start running later than originally planned and the heat of the day can already be guessed at.

The 1,000 meters in altitude don't give me a headache. But I know from a hike twelve years ago that the
