Japanese Garden in the Oliwa Park in Gdańsk. You enter it through the so-called Torii Gate. which is a commonly recognizable element of Japanese architecture. Japanese Torii are a symbolic gateway connecting the human world with the eternal spirit world. Although the idea of placing the Japanese Garden in the Oliwa Park may seem bizarre, in this place you can always meet people of all ages who like to hang out.

Japanese Garden in the Oliwa Park. The garden is entered through the Torii gate (鳥 居) made of Siberian larch wood, which symbolizes the transition from the human (earthly and finite) world to the world of gods (heavenly and infinite) in the culture and religion of Japan. Behind the gate, there are also other objects inspired by Japanese culture and religion, such as the pavilion (Jinja 神社) and the stone lantern (ishi-dōrō (石 灯籠).
