The Sint-Willibrordus Church in Alphen is a Roman Catholic church with a rich history. The original church from 1500 was demolished in 1909, but the tower was preserved. A new neo-Gothic church was built in 1910, but was badly damaged during the war. In 1955 a new church in traditionalist style was built.
A fun fact: the stained glass windows show images of the towers of the fourteen surrounding churches.

The Sint-Willibrorduskerk is a Roman Catholic church in Alphen.
Construction of the tower and choir began in 1500. Construction was halted in 1542 due to the invasion of the Gelders led by Maarten van Rossum. The tower was probably completed in 1559. It was executed in the last phase of the Kempen Gothic. The church was put into use by the Reformed in 1648 and returned to the Catholics in 1820. Since the building had fallen into disrepair, it had to be restored.
