Likely built in the 17th century, the Much Wenlock Windmill is a wonderful feature in this historic market town. Standing just outside the settlement and seen from various points in the town, the windmill has been in disrepair since being struck by lightning in the 19th century.

A local group was formed to preserve the structure and today it is a beloved part of the Much Wenlock.
