Vandring

The tidal range, ie the difference between low tide and high tide, is more than three meters in the inland port. It is already an impressive spectacle of nature. Just sit in the café for a while and watch the water come. Fantastic!

Vandring

Husum's port has existed since the end of the Middle Ages. The oldest part is the inland port. Here the North Sea almost reaches the market square and flushes fresh water into the city twice a day. The tide game can be experienced up close. In the Middle Ages, it was mainly the Dutch who chose the short route between the cities of Husum and Flensburg as a connection between the North Sea and the Baltic Sea for their trade. Today the inland port is a wonderful place to stroll and look.
