After spending time in the Southern Heath last week, I absolutely had to take a look around the North Heath. Also beautiful 🤩

For the last day, I wanted to do another longer tour, starting from a train station (there are no buses on public holidays). I decided to extend the 5-Lakes Tour from Seeg with a detour to Attelsee, thus completing the 7 Lakes & Ponds tour – the Seeger Seven Lakes Party, so to speak.

First: After a week, today is a double first: a) the snorer from the next room seems to have left, and b) I didn't need any rain gear today.

Even though it poured this morning, it stayed dry as I set off for Auerberg. The route was very idyllic – only my attempt to take a shortcut through the forest failed

What a flop. I should probably get rid of my optimism. When clouds hang over the mountain, the chances of them disappearing are slim. The likelihood of getting wet, on the other hand, is huge. I don't even want to get started on the poor visibility at 1,500 meters.

A day to get rid of, especially since

Today, the weather once again had its own plans and ignored the forecasted break for rain. But the hazy clouds certainly have their charm, and halfway through, we sat dry on the heated terrace with a stunning view, watching the interplay of mountains and clouds.

It's impossible to be in the area without checking out "the castle."

So many small, beautiful forest paths and half the time the salty air in your nose 🥰

The Pink Granite Coast greeted us with low tide. So the entry was a little unattractive at first, but it had many advantages. We could walk on the seabed, climb over rocks and had the best view of Didi Hallervorden's castle. Spectacular rock formations kept cropping up. A bit crowded, but that was to be expected 😉
