All in all, a nice tour. Especially the middle part. We decided to walk from the top (Portela) to the bottom. It was a good decision. The descent down what felt like a thousand steps to Maroços was not easy. But going up is high-performance sport.

A tour on which we had not met anyone all day. The descent to the new suspension bridge, first on an old road to the last houses above the valley floor, then the rest over well-paved steps to the levada above the stream. Further down to the suspension bridge to enjoy nature to the full. Then back up
