First, I checked out the impressive lime works. Unfortunately, the museum is currently closed for renovations.
My second destination was the Neunzehnhain II reservoir. I did a loop all the way around it. The dam crest was closed for construction, so the tour was a few kilometers longer.

Having crossed the finish line at work for the year, I'm treating myself to a few pre-Christmas days off in the Ore Mountains.
A lovely tour including Augustusburg Castle, the Kunnerstein rock formation, and the charming Christmas tree trail with over 100 lovingly decorated trees.

I started in Berggießhübel. I continued along the Zehista cliffs towards Gersdorf, passing old quarries and the Gersdorf ruins. Via Jagdstein and Hochstein, I returned to my starting point. I can also recommend stopping at Cafe Kühn ☕️🍰😋.

On a gloomy day, we went for a hike through the woods, fields, and meadows.
Afterwards, we visited the charming, small, and lovingly decorated Bärnsdorf Christmas market with its floating candle arch.
