Today we took the FlemXpress to the Startgels station at 1590m. We wanted to go all the way to the top. Unfortunately, only section 1 (to Startgels) was accessible. The onward journey to Segens and Nagens Sura stations at 2233m were closed from Monday

A round trip through the Rhine Gorge in beautiful, partly sunny weather with a temperature of 19°C / 66°F. It felt chilly in the forest. The section from the village of Carrera down to the Vorderrhein River is very difficult to ride and also to walk the bike.

What a day! It began quite leisurely with a ride from Flims through the forest to the observation tower high above the Rhine Gorge. The ride continued via Laax to Falera. From there, the steep climb continued to Alp Nagens at 1970 meters above sea level.

A wonderfully pleasant 26°C (80°F).

Most of the tour is paved, which makes the ride a bit easier on the way to Schynige Platte. We saw beautiful, interesting farmhouses. The last 2.5 km (1.5 miles) were very tough. Very steep with large, loose rocks.

With an eBike, you have the advantage
