The Marienthal trout farm is a traditional farm established in 1899 and specializes in the breeding of brown, rainbow, and salmon trout. In addition to fresh trout, the farm also offers smoked fish products, which are available upon reservation. Seasonal carp and tench are also available, as well as homemade jams and jellies.
The trout farm places great emphasis on quality and freshness, and its products can be purchased directly on site. The farm is a popular destination for gourmets and nature lovers who want to enjoy regional specialties.

Marienthal was built in 1767 under Elector Karl Theodor and used as a factory. Military cloth, buttons, and other items were manufactured. The owners and products produced changed constantly (linen weaving mill, paper mill, oil mill, etc.). In 1887, the main building (the factory) was converted into a residential and workspace. In 1894, the then owner, Otto von Alten, laid the foundation for trout farming by building ponds. Today, Marienthal consists of a pond complex with 17 ponds and two weirs.
