Excellent information on hiking trails, maps, permits and reservation. Stop by for a free video, introduction to the park, ranger info for hiking, weather, water, bathrooms, free public WiFi.

Like all visitors centers in the American national parks, it is always worth stopping there for a visit to learn a little more. There are always informative expositions and videos that are worthwhile.

There is continuous work during the 2023 season to repair roads from winter damage along Generals Highway, so expect delays in this area. Parking and vehicle access may also be limited during peak hours from 10am to 3pm.
