    The San Giuliano park is a large urban park located in the municipality of Venice, in the locality of the same name. It overlooks the Venice lagoon, at the beginning of the Liberty bridge and not far from the Marco Polo airport.
    In addition to being an area of environmental and landscape recovery and one of the most important places for the study of the lagoon environment, it is proposed as a destination for sports and cultural activities for leisure. Created thanks to a European contribution, the San Giuliano park represents an ambitious project, being one of the most significant urban reconversion and environmental reclamation interventions in Italy for its complexity and articulation, as well as for its dimensional and territorial characteristics.
    The San Giuliano park has an area of about 74 hectares [1].

      The approximately 74 hectare Parco San Giuliano is “il segno di un sogno”, the sign of a dream, as it is called somewhat pathetically, and goes back to initiatives in the 1990s, a part of the area that was used for decades as a landfill for industrial and construction waste To restore the lagoon south of Mestre.       The green area is connected to the San Giuseppe district by a bicycle and pedestrian bridge (Ponte Europa), which makes it possible to cross the SS 14: 140 meters long and about 7 meters above street level, it hangs from a central pylon.

      From the small hill at the southern tip of the park you have a wonderful view over the lagoon over to Venice.
