The old arm of the Rhine is the Federbach.
The Federbach is a 42 kilometer long stream in Baden-Württemberg. It flows through the districts of Karlsruhe and Rastatt and now flows into the Alb near the Karlsruhe district of Maxau.
The view from the bridge over the Federbach is really nice.

Neither old nor poor of the Rhine.
The Federbach flows here in a diversion around the Knielinger See. This was necessary because of the excessive nutrient input from the stream. In the course of this and other rehabilitation measures for the lake, the bridge was also built. This is a great viewpoint of the water and the surrounding nature. The path ends behind the bridge. To protect nature, a bulwark made of piled wood was created there.
