High up in the north of Denmark, begins a pilgrimage route, the Hærvej. This pilgrimage continues in Germany, where he is called Ochsenweg and many miles later he meets in Spain on the Jacobsweg.
Much of the Hærvej is today a road, which was only a path at the time, but there are some preserved as some bridges (the highlights you can find with me) or the pilgrimage sites (mitlerweile modern design).
On Hærvej you will always meet pilgrims, it has clearly not gone out of fashion.
