If the Stohren slope does not seem crisp enough, you can add a little spice to the climb by taking a detour via the Hörhalde. The small, neatly paved road goes first in the valley floor along the Hörhalderbach with 8-10% and then more and more steeply to well over 15% and at the top about 20% steeply uphill. After 230 meters of altitude it turns sharply to the left and with a reduced incline you drive along the Sittnerbergweg on the side of the valley, where you reach the high point at 920 meters. Now it's a good 100 meters down to the Stohrenstraße, where the climbing continues.
