Do not take the South Kaibab Trail to walk from the Colorado as there is no shade and no water source. Take it to hike it down to the river. The views are stunning.

The views in the Grand Canyon are gorgeous! On a day trip you should turn back from here and follow the same way back to the Canyonkante. This is the recommendation of the Grand Canyon Visitor Center, which I would like to join! I walked to the tip-off point and then reversed. The ascent in high heat was incredibly exhausting and is not recommended!
