Bikers on the Altmühl Panoramaweg can cool off with a dip in the Kratzmühlsee. The bathing lake with about 2 km of shoreline, laid out in the 70s, invites you to sunbathe, swim and row. The recreation area is supplemented by a miniature golf course, the Technikmuseum "anno dazumal", an idyllic lakeside restaurant and the quaint Wirtshaus zur Kratzmühle.

The ideal place for a short or longer break.

The Kratzmühlsee near Pfraundorf is a beautiful lake in the middle of the Altmühltal nature park. 700 m long and 250 m wide for swimming, swimming and rowing.

Sunny berths with shady trees are a good place to unwind and relax. The walk around the lake takes about 30 minutes. A bridge leads to a small island.

For the children there are two playgrounds around the lake. For fishing enthusiasts separate riparian zones are reported. At the lake there is no designated nudist area, but unclothed visitors to the lake are tolerated.

Very nice bathing lake with the possibility to eat. From here you can climb the Trail Bachweg to the departure ramp with a great view of the Kratzmühlsee. You can also see the departure ramp from the lake
