The ascent from Slovenia is pleasant and not very steep. However, the descent to Austria is a bit tricky, since the road conditions are not the best. You should also have your ID with you, because the border is on the passport.

The descent to Slovenia is very nice down to Krajnska Gora with a view of the ski station, World Cup descent, etc. However, paid very dearly with the absolutely worst pass I've driven so far: Wurzenpass from the north side! Sausage and a lot of inconsiderate traffic.

The better side of the pass. Nice asphalt on this side. It’s also steep but compared to the Austrian part it’s not so long. But waaaay better road conditions :D

Say hello in Austria and then via Vrsic Pass and Predil Pass you have cycled in 3 countries after about 100 km.

The climb from Slovenia is much easier than coming from Villach. The asphalt quality is also better there, but the Carinthian side will probably be renovated soon.

A nice climb, much easier than the Carinthian side. The latter is more recommended as a descent.
The asphalt has recently been repaired, so the descent on the Carinthian side is now also very pleasant (albeit steep).

Very beautiful. Very steep in places, but nothing compared to Austria.

Coming from Slovenia pleasant to drive, from Austria with a 3 km ramp 18% + at the beginning, easy descents and renewed ramps, it is extremely hard

Relatively easy uphill (when comparing to opposite side), with very good surface. Downhill on the austrian is VERY bad, lots of crack and holes.
