In the vicinity of the tower, a footpath leads to the shoe stain, in the beginning a bit difficult, probably many have to push, but then you can let the cow fly. Geiler Trail to Schuhfleck, but then not as I continue on Route 45, but take the Mühlgrabenweg.

The Hirschensteingipfel with its 1,095 m, its exposed location and the 7 m high observation tower gives a unique view in the Bavarian Forest. In the east it extends from the Großer Arber to the Dreisessel, in the south the area from Deggendorf to Straubing and in the west to the Gallner can be seen. On favorable days, the Alps from the Dachstein to the Zugspitze can be seen unimpeded - a visit is always worthwhile 😉
