Hard to find information online about the underfoot/wheel surface here. Can confirm that it is a mixture of compacted soil over cobble like rock and some smoother gravel sections. Absolutely doable on a gravel or touring bike, though I do imagine some sections could become a little bit muddier after heavy rain.
I was easily able to navigate the whole length of the path on a gravel bike with 40mm tires.
