      Lütetsburg Castle is a moated castle that was rebuilt in its present form in the 1960s after a devastating fire: With thick walls, a deep moat and two towers. The heraldic animal – a stone lion – watches over the castle residents on two pillars next to the access bridge. Today's brick building was built by the architect Hans Heinrich von Oppeln on the foundations of the previous building from the 15th century, which was destroyed by a major fire: a four-winged complex with two towers, simple and monumental at the same time.

          The castle is a moated castle with a bailey and its unique castle park. It lies between the municipality of Hage and the city of Norden.
          Lütetsburg Castle was already badly damaged by bombs in World War II and, after a devastating fire in 1956, was rebuilt as a brick building on the foundations of the destroyed previous building in the 1960s.
          The count family of those of Inn- and Knyphausen have lived here for generations.

                  A round through the landscape park with its beautiful old trees is worthwhile in every season. It gets particularly spectacular in spring, when rhododendrons and azaleas bloom in May / June.
                  The park is open all year round:
                  May - September: 8 a.m. - 9 p.m.
                  October - April: 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
                  Admission price: 2 EUR, for children up to 12 years: free of charge (as long as the park shop at the entrance is open - usually daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. from April to October
