With its romantic half-timbered houses, the massive and completely preserved city wall, the narrow streets and the lively market place Dinkelsbühl seems to have sprung directly from a fairytale movie. No wonder that many different films have been shot here over the years. In the 1960s, even an American film crew was guests, who used the picturesque city as a backdrop for the film "The Wonderful World of the Brothers Grimm".

The old town of Dinkelsbühl is at least as beautiful as that of Rothenburg, but it is much more relaxed here. It's just fun to just let yourself drift within the old town and explore the beautiful, lovingly decorated alleys.

Dinkelsbühl is absolutely worth seeing, not only because of the well-preserved old town and the many half-timbered buildings.
