A nice restaurant with an idyllic location right on the Nied. If you are traveling by e-bike, there are four charging stations available.

The Wackenmühle is almost on the French border. Very quiet location in beautiful nature.
Good gastronomy and friendly staff.
Recommendation:
short drive to the Celtic village on the border with France.

Today I finally managed to get a seat on the terrace, luckily also in the shade. You sit really well with a great view of the beautiful landscape of the Nied. The staff was very friendly, I felt comfortable. I ordered from the daily menu. I had to wait about an hour for the food even though it wasn't very busy. It tasted quite good, but the fried potatoes were cold to lukewarm, and some pieces were almost raw. There was no side salad, I should have ordered it separately, but I wasn't told. Not so great. I was then offered a drink on the house, which I declined.
Well, I took a portion of chive salad to take away and drove. I just tried to eat that. What can I say? Ok, sour is funny. Then I take it with humor. Overall, it was an expensive affair that I will save in the future. Maybe an ice cream there, but nothing else.
