The Oschersleben Bodewehr is located in the town of the same name, Oschersleben an der Bode.
The weir is currently non-functional.
The original function was to regulate the water level of the Bode in order to be able to supply a side canal with water permanently, as well as flood protection.
The weir consists of a weir roller and a four-field protective weir.
This report deals with the repairability of the structure of the hydraulic steel components.
The system was inspected and the condition of the individual components assessed.
In order to be able to evaluate the type and scope of a repair without a function, additional tests were carried out on the material and the coating.
It is a one-piece, infill weir roller in steel construction as a rivet construction.
A side plate with a wooden seal is provided at each end of the weir roller.
The weir roller is driven on one side by a chain.
One end of the chain is attached to the drive pulley and the other end is deflected via a chain sprocket.
The chain pinion and the upstream gear stages are shifted to an elevated gear frame.
A closed drive chain leads out to the side of the drive frame and is deflected via a chain pinion.
This chain pinion is connected to the drive box via a clutch.
There is an electromechanical drive.
The driven side is on the central weir pier.
A retaining chain is attached to the non-driven side to secure the position.
Racks are attached to the abutments on both sides.
The weir roller is supported in these.
The function has not been checked.
There is no lock.
