1374 mentioned for the first time in the village a parish. It can be assumed that then there was already a church. The present church was built between 1739 and 1740. Nothing has been reported about a previous church (Wikipedia).

The church was built in Baroque style in 1739-1740. One enters it and first perceives a rather dark anteroom before entering the interior of the imposing pillar church with four cross vaults and a stone cap vault in the chancel. The richly structured interior is stuccoed and decorated with Christian symbols. Above the windows are cartouches with quotations from the Bible. In the keystone in the choir there is the eye of God, about which there is an interesting legend, framed by angels and a wreath of rays. Two galleries are built into the tower on the west side.
