The "Pfaelzer Weltachs" goes back to a poem by Paul Münch, which states that the world axis is located in the center of the Palatinate state and the Pfalz was entrusted with the lubrication of the world axis. This red sandstone was installed by a forestry official in the 1960s and bears the inscription "Lubrication of the world axis". Traditionally, the stone is "re-oiled" once a year. Apart from that, the view is really nice here;)

Great S1 Trail section. I went up. Is actually very good. There are some tricky places with grooves, rocks and roots that you can cope well. But think downhill makes it more fun trotzdem

Unfortunately, the trail mountain from the direction Hunbold tower in the upper part Dirch Forst work has been completely destroyed!
No idea what the forestry workers have thought but it is not really good to cross with either the MTB or inflow.

The Pälzer Weltachs is a processed Bunter sandstone on the 459 meter high Kleine Roßrück near Waldleiningen in Rhineland-Palatinate. He wears a relief with a depiction "Lubrication of the world axis" and a corresponding inscription, which lean against a poem by the Palatinate dialect poet Paul Münch. They were installed by a local forestry official in the 1960s. Today the rock is a destination for hikes in the Palatinate Forest. Once a year, the "world axis" is solemnly "re-oiled". The rock can only be reached via hiking trails.

The Bavarian administration built a pillar-shaped landmark in the 19th century on the Kleiner Roßrück for surveying purposes. After working on the supporting rock table by the forestry official, the so-sculpted "Palatine World Axis" was inaugurated in 1964. Her depiction refers to The Palatine World History by Paul Münch, which begins with the poem Mer Pälzer and the Weltachs. It states that the axis of the world is at the center of the Palatinate state (the Palatinate within the boundaries of the Rhine circle) and has been entrusted to the Palatinate since its creation with the lubrication of the world axis. Closely following the text, the inscription on the rock reads:
