The Château de Dieppe, built from a combination of fire and sandstone blocks and white and red brick. In the center of the building is a round tower, which was once part of the 14th century fortifications. Courtines (17th C) connect the castle with the square tower Saint-Rémy. The castle used to be the residence of the governors of the city and was a center of resistance against English rule in the Middle Ages. Now it houses a museum.

Well preserved central palace and outer castle.
The first "castle" had to exist in the twelfth century at the time of Philippe Auguste. The construction of the current castle began in 1443 at the instigation of Charles Des Marets. The west tower may be from the fourteenth century. True castle, it presents today a very composite architecture; flint and sandstone equipment has often been reworked. A brick bastion and various buildings were added. It sheltered until 1923 the barracks Ruffin.
