    Römerhofgasse and Auracher Löchl
    It belongs to the oldest and most beautiful part of the city and is home to one of the most famous restaurants in Kufstein, the Auracher Löchl. It was named after the old Kufstein bourgeois family called Auracher, who had lived here since the 13th century and ran a brewery. The foundation stone was laid as early as 1410 and a tunnel (the Löchl) was driven deep into the mountain to store ice. In 1448 the beer tavern was opened, which was called "Auracher Löchl".
    During the great fire of 1809, almost all of Kufstein was destroyed, but the Auracher Löchl was miraculously spared.
