Sports airport in Vrsar, located directly in the green fields on the Adriatic coast and not far from the nature reserve of Lim Fjord, is an interesting stop on the way of every curious traveler.
From Vrsar you can not only take a panoramic flight over Istria or fly to Venice, you can also see the original exhibition of old airplanes open all year round. This is the only aviation museum in Europe that offers visitors the opportunity to climb into a pilot's cabin. The MiG21 is the only Cold War era fighter aircraft with an open cabin, allowing visitors to sit in the pilot's seat and view the flight instruments.
There is also a small photo gallery about the history of aeronautics in Istria, an exhibition of aviation objects and a children's corner, as well as an attractive terrace, partly under the wings of old planes, which provides a unique experience. Some of the larger aircraft are open and invite you to tour the interior, so you can also take a look inside the pilot's cabin.
Aeropark Vrsar was also the venue of Red Bull Airace races in 2014 and 2015; a small corner commemorating these great races has also been set up in Aeropark Vrsar.
