The Ludwigsbrunnen is a sodium-bicarbonate-chloride acid. It was first mentioned in 1411. However, its economic benefit was rather low because it did not provide sufficient fill.

Since 1970 it has been owned by the city of Karben, which built a park-like area around it.

The redesign of the Ludwigsbrunnen began on June 11, 2018. In order to improve the quality of stay, the entire outdoor area of the Ludwigsbrunnen was redesigned. The entrance was paved with two different colored plasters and a "rest area" was set up.

Beds and trees were planted. Several loungers, benches and bike racks were installed.

The fountain building was redesigned and the steles were created in different shades of aqua, which indicate the ingredients of the water.

I didn't photograph all the special features, e.g. Memorial Trail of the Fallen and Murdered Jews, Rose Garden.
It's a hike that anyone who can walk 14 km in one go can do.
No big climbs (one relatively at the beginning).
The barbecue area or the rose garden are ideal for taking a break.
There is a table and benches here - benches there.
