Haidenburg Castle is a former medieval castle (built in 1190) and today's Renaissance castle complex on the eastern slope of the Sulzbach valley. It lies in the district of Haidenburg in the municipality of Aldersbach. The castle was once a noble residence, but has been privately owned since 1972.

The remarkable Asam monastery church, which is considered the most beautiful Marienkirche in Bavaria, was rebuilt in 1720.
Brewing beer is also a great tradition in Aldersbach. In the brewery museum you will learn a lot of interesting things about the centuries-old brewing tradition of the monks. Afterwards you can taste the Lower Bavarian beer specialties of the Aldersbach brewery in the cozy Bräustüberl with a hearty snack.
