The branch church of the parish district Dannheim, "St. Johannis ", dominates the Kirchberg. It is of Romanesque origin, but marked by baroque remodeling. It has not been used since 1969. In 1969, the last wedding took place here, since then the church was structurally closed. In recent years, the roof got a new dress, so that they now externally gives an intact impression. Since 2004, irregular church services have taken place in the church (Wikipedia).
