The Drübeck Monastery is over 1000 years old and parts of the building from that time are still preserved. Today it is a conference center for the Evangelical Church and the monastery gardens are part of the “Garden Dreams” project from the state of Saxony-Anhalt. The monastery linden tree in the inner courtyard is almost 300 years old and is one of the natural monuments in the Harz.

Hikers can stop here, spend the night and there are regular guided tours and events.

Very interesting monastery. It is a huge complex, but very well maintained.
You can also spend the night here because it is an evangelical education center.

St. Vitus Monastery Church
Opening times: every day from 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Guided tours April to October:
Tuesday to Saturday: 2 p.m.
Sundays and public holidays: 11 a.m. & 2 p.m. or by appointment
