This farmhouse in the Lower Saxony style was originally built in 1914 for the Altona horticultural exhibition. After the exhibition, it was then removed from its original location on the Elbchaussee and rebuilt in the Volkspark. It burned down here in 1927, was rebuilt and now serves as a popular restaurant with a coffee and beer garden.

Right next to the farmhouse is a mini golf course with 18 holes and a pit-pat course - a mixture of mini golf and billiards. A forest playground west of Nansenstraße offers a variety of attractive play elements for young park visitors and shady places for their companions.
