Very nice climb from the Tinée valley up to the Col Saint Martin or La Colmiane. The climb starts at 480 meters and goes up to 1500 meters. From the Tinée valley it goes immediately with up to 10% through the rock face up to the valley of Valdeblore. The road is sometimes boldly carved into the rock and at the beginning you have always deep views like from the plane. Later, the road turns into the side valley and you reach at La Bolline again the then moderately rising valley floor. With 4-7% it goes on to the pass, mostly over meadows or through sparse forest.

Boldly carved into the rock, the track swings up to the Col St. Martin up the mountainside. After just a few meters, you can enjoy a view into the Tinée Valley, which is reminiscent of flies. The route increases with quite moderate 8-9%, so you can enjoy the splendor as well.

Col Saint Martin (el. 1500 m.) is a high mountain pass in the Alps in the department of Alpes-Maritimes in France.[1]

It is traversed by the D-2205 highway.[2]

The place has been crossed at the Tour de France road cycling race in 1973, 1975 and 2020, as well as at multiple editions of the Paris-Nice.
