A little highlight on the small and less complicated descent from the raven stones. If you want to go through here, you shouldn't be claustrophobic, because it can get very tight.

The descent to Kirnitsch from the Rabenstein is not very long and complicated, but it is wildly romantic and still rather unknown. A few stairs and a small cave lead down to the stream.

The new bear's cave is a tunnel and the path that previously ran halfway up leads through it to the Kirnitzsch. At the lower end of the tunnel is what is currently the oldest spruce in Saxon Switzerland.

The hike through the New Bear Cave is generally easy to pass, although there are some tall deadwood spruces lining the path, both standing and lying across. The New Bear Cave is a fascinating tunnel that takes the path halfway along the Kirnitzsch to the bank. The entrance to the cave also marks the lower end of the tunnel, where the oldest spruce in Saxon Switzerland stands. The path through the Bear Cave is equipped with slatted frames.
Some boulders hang down low, so you have to bend down to get through. After you have passed the cave, the path continues on wooden walkways and stairs.

That's what you could call the New Bear Cave. It's a wonderful piece of nature. You have to bend down, maybe even get wet feet, but it's an experience.
