At 56 square kilometers, the Alpe di Siusi is the largest high plateau in Europe and encompasses much more than the town sign at the beginning. And yes, many paths are closed to cyclists. However, those who come here to see the beauty of nature can also do so from a paved road or a forest path. If you want to ride single trails - please please do it somewhere else!!! The bans annoyed me at the beginning too. A detailed and comprehensible explanation that I then received from the local tourist office made me see the matter in a different light. In the summer months "hell" must be loose here. It can no longer be regulated otherwise. There are barriers on 4 meter wide paths to separate pedestrians from cyclists.

The Seiser Alm is a true natural treasure, nurtured to the highest standards. Numerous green meadows, abundant moss and moorland, and plenty of hiking trails for hikers, from flat to steep. For cyclists, there are pleasant asphalt roads and, at higher elevations, sandy forest paths, some gravel and small pebbles. Everything is easily accessible by e-MTB, with climbs and descents sometimes quite challenging and usually short. The panoramic views from the heights are particularly appealing, as you're "eye to eye" with 2,000-meter peaks.

Starting point for many great tours. Either higher up to one of the alpine pastures or simply a round tour without having to cover many meters in altitude. Tip: take the cable car up. The road to the Alpe di Siusi is relatively busy, so it's just not fun to be constantly overtaken by rattling tractors, motorbikes or cars.
