A hike to Spielbodenalp is worthwhile for more than just the view. Passing colorful meadows and the small hamlet of Gimmelen, you'll reach the alp in about an hour on the Northface Trail. Once you arrive at the top, the magnificent panorama of the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau mountains unfolds before you. Simple, honest cuisine awaits you in the mountain hut, which is open during the summer – just what you need after a climb. The cheese slice is particularly recommended; it tastes twice as good on the sunny terrace with a cool drink.
